Hiking the Royal Bobovac Canyon

Fourteenth century Bobovac held the Royal Bosnian Crown from 1349 until it was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in 1463.  A fortified, medieval city built in the splendorous Bobovac Canyon could only be reached through the mountains.

Hike the Bobovac Canyon from the ancient Franciscan  Monastery of Kraljeva Sutjeska, following the river with its rapid waterfalls until we ascend to the capital of the Bosnia Kingdom at Bobovac.

Be  immersed in the  enthralling  historical accounts of how the fortress was protected from invaders along  the canyon route.

Enjoy the vast natural beauty of the canyon from sea level and mountain level.

Upon  arrival  at the medieval  fortress a  guided  tour  will be given before sitting down to a Royal Bosnian picnic with local folklore music.

Travel back by coach through the stunning mountain villages enjoying truly magnificent scenery.

Hot and cold evening buffet.
